If you have gas pouring out of the carburetor, I suspect that the float, needle valve, or both are stuck. I don't know how long the tractor sat, but when they sit a long time your gas turns into shellac, which gums everything up. Even if you get it started again, your going to be running very rich since the carburetor cannot properly meter the fuel going through it and could be washing the lubrication off of your cylinder walls, causing extra wear on them. My suggestion would be to pull the carburetor, clean it with carburetor cleaner, and put a kit in it. But at the very least, clean it. Fred KS
