I wonder as well Larry, I guess some people don't know how to go about finding parts or they have too much money and they find that the easiest. When I buy a tractor ,I make a list of the parts that need to be replaced or parts missing that I want on (ie PTO Shield), then I go to Tractor wreckers in my area and get the parts, bring them home ,clean them up and paint them then shelve them until I am ready for them. My local Case I-H dealer is the best for ignition parts , seals brake parts. Engine kits are available readily..e-bay is the last place I would ever look to buy tractor parts..or tractors...I guess the fun of the hobby is taking a drive to find parts , talking to others..making a day of it, taking a friend along, seeing what's in the wreckers yard...incidentally Steve at Ontario Used Tractor Parts has a bin full of H breathers and bins with breathers off of everything under the sun, I got a breather from him for $20, I had bought a lot of stuff that day. Luckily for me there are three tractor wreckers all within a half hours drive. I can also say no when a part is ridiculously priced and I can also offer less for the part based on its condition. I recall being asked $500 for a set of gears for the pto drive in a Case 300 and I walked away with them for $250 after I pointed out the wear pattern on them and stood firm on my offer. I like wreckers yards..I get to Steves 4 or 5 times a year to the other two maybe twice. When I travel and see a wreckers yard I'll stop in and look around , maybe ask for hard to find items that I can resell..just something I enjoy...Mike in Exeter Ontario

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
