The oil filter raket on side of radiator is actually the oil bath air cleaner. There should be a pipe running from this to the carb for the clean air to run through. If your timing is off, it could cuase the engine to overheat, otherwise you probably got something ailing a little in the coolant system. Just guessing it is the later of the two. Might try blowing air through the radiator cleaning the dirt out of the air passages in radiator. Radiator might be stopped up on the inside not letting the coolant circulate properly. I can't remeember if the F-30 had water pump or thermostate or not but if it does you might check those out to see if they are functioning properly. I have an F-20 that has a hydraulic pump that mounts in between the clutch and transmission. After market add on I believe, but just guessing I would say that there was probably likewise one for the F-30 as well.
