My 140, 1958, is borderline needing engine rebuild. Just was looking through the new OEM catalog. Not that they would be my source for the parts, but the information in the catalog is confusing. Kits for the C123 for the Super A-1 and AV-1 serial #310300 and up, Super C, 100, 200 offer stepped head pistons. Kits for the C123 for 130, 140, 230, 240 offer only the flat head piston. Are these engines really different? If so, how? Looks as if the later engines can only be rebuilt with lower compression than the earlier engines.
