Rods for C248 (M), C264 (SM_SMTA), and early C264 in 400s were 45750D--, (letters after numbers are complicated to explain) in this case DAX meant a rod assy with bolts, locks, pin bushing, in other words a complete rod, C264 used in 400 later by serial number had a smaller wrist pin to offset the weight of high dome pistons, same in C281 in 450, they make special wrist pin bushings to adapt the new pistons into old rods. I have been in IH parts since 1960 and still am with a CNH dealer.
