A sickle mower will also take a leg off of a man. My dad had a hired hand about 20 years ago that somehow fell off of a 5000 Ford and got his boot top caught in the last guard that stuck up on the end. After it pulled him across the field for awhile the blades finally snapped through the bone. Another tractor driver was filling his tractor with diesel at the shop when it happened and when he saw the boy laying in a ditch minus one leg he turned that tractor around on a dime and busted through the gate to go call for help. It took 1 and 1/2 hours for the ambulance to find the field. Thank goodness some neighbors came with towels and sheets to stop the bleeding. Yes, a sickle mower is at the top of the list of dangerous implements.
