I had this same problem on a farmall 130. Removed axle from tractor used heat two torches and pulling set up. I was sure I had ruined centre tube as we had it red hot from end to end before it came loose. There was a layer of flake rust in there and did that stuff ever hold on between the 2 tubes. I cleaned it up, painted and put it all back together, that was 12 years ago and its still going and straight, surprisingly. I have a front snow blade for tractor and expected to see a bow in that front axle from the heat. We had that axle so hot we started getting nervous about burning shop. We had some blocking around, I think all of those caught fire at some point.
