Is it 'correct'? I dunno. Can it be done? Absolutely. I took a Power Lift off a parts tractor and put it on my non-power lift F14. Only tricky part is getting the preload, which consists of shims behind the pump mount on the gearshaft that drives it, correct. The rest is a bolt on. You'll want to take the top cover off before unbolting the bearing carrier and replacing it with the pump housing. There's mounting studs, a collar they screw into and shims on the back side of the transmission casing that you'll want to be able to keep track of.
