Truck looks straight and solid, but a bit high on price.....but it could be worth it if you want to keep it stock....just do what you had too to get reliable....Are you sure the engine is a v8, I think that was a type O....Chevy came out with the 265 cu v8 with open drive line in 1955....283 cu in 1957....the enclosed drive line in this truck would require an adaptor plate to bolt the v8 to the 6 cyl. tranny.....then you would have to drive it easy,or you would tear it up.......been there ,done that......
