I have never heard of a W-9 axle breaking, even with loader use. Local IH parts dealer has a 560 with a W-9 front end rigged up on it with a loader, works really good! Maybe you could even use the front cast iron tub for your tractor, that's also really heavy duty. If anyone is interested in any specific parts, shoot me an email with what you need and an offer.
