B question

On the B I picked up the other day, it has a shaft coming out over the pto that is perpendicular to the pto. I am assuming this is for the belt pulley? Seen a few pics of them but have not seen this before. Is this a rare find? I have always wanted a B since my grandpaw on my moms side had one. I have found out that this one is a 44model if I read everything right. Whats the best cheapest place to find rear tires for her? One is totally shot but the other is holding. Same thing goes for the H John Deere I picked up with this one.
