Dad had a pair of IH #62's with the aux. engine on them when I was VERY young. He finally got a #25 Deere and got rid of both the 62's. He could cover as much ground in oats with the 25 as both 62's. Few years later He traded the #25 for a Deere #30, basically the same machine as the IH #80 in design. Real nice machine... but not totally without faults...I remember combining oats one year when it was so wet the Farmall 450 would get stuck pulling the combine and I'd have to help pull the tractor & combine thru the wet spot with the Super H. Those ruts were there for 2 years!
