A while ago someone asked which was the best position to mount a snowplow. I have had the same plow mounted both, on the front and on the back of my A. This year was the first year I've had an opportunity to plow a enought snow to make the comparison. I have determined that a front mount is better. I can push the same amount of snow either way and it is less painful on the back and neck to face forward. The only drawback is the lack of traction backing off a snow pile with the plow on the back. I have just posted two pictures in the tractor photo area if any one is interested. 1941 Farmall plowing forwarded and backwards. If anyone is interested I give more details on how I mounted the plow on the front.
