when my brother and i were younger we would wait untill winter rolled around so we could have off school and plow snow together. we had two allis chalmers garden traters with weights, chains and blades, a 100 with weights chains and blade, a 300u with weights chains and a loader, a 350 with 3pt blade and a 450 with a 3pt blade. we plowed our snow, our neighbors snow and our grandmothers snow and anywhere else we could. i would have to say out of all of those the most fun to plow with was those little garden tractors, probabbly because we could plow for hours at a time. with the 350 and 450 you would always get a kink in your neck from looking backwards all the time, the 100 was a little too light for the size of the blade as the front end always wanted to slide away from the snow bank and the 300 was just a nightmare to steer. also had a jd 440ic but never used it much for snow. now that im gettin old and lazy i would have to say the best tractor to plow snow with would be a 1086 with a all hydraulic front mount blade with a cab and HEAT.
