Kelly, Good memories of a sort. At least it builds character - so they say. And your son will know what it's like to get hotter, sweatier, dirtier and more tired than he's ever been before -- go to bed early and worn out, then get up and do it all over again the next day. Thank goodness we always had wood barns, and more recently twine bales. My Grand Dad had a wire baler, and I don't ever remember gloves that would make those wires comfortable. As for you, it doesn't get easier when you get older, unless there are some kids around and all you have to do is run the machinery. Bet that's what you're hoping. The last of our horses moved to my sister's in Wisconsin last year. Hard to tell whose they were, as they're 4th generation offspring of a mare our parents got in '66. She wanted them, but didn't want to bale, and my daughter has no taste for any of it now, plus she's gone off to school. So all the horses moved, and I sold the baler. No more horse chores morning and evening and no more baling. Not a bad deal when 50 for me was some years ago. The guy who bought the baler was in his late 20's and is going to start that whole cycle all over again with cattle and goats and kids who can grow up stacking bales and feeding the critters. I hope that old Massey Ferguson baler serves him as well as it did me for 20 some years. Good luck to you on your baler as well. You surely have a lot of different projects going. Good to see all the stuff on your web page, and to see Farmalls still working on an Indiana farm. Steve

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
