I would say most of the 806 LP were probably row crop tractors with 3 pt and pto and came from cotton country in the South. If I were going to choose a tractor in bad shape to repair to run the 806 LP would be a good choice. You can get an engine from a 403,503,615,715,453 combines and 420,422,414,416 cotton pickers will work. Even the diesels have the same block and crankshaft as long as you stay in the same 263,282,301 family. The transmission and rear end of an 806 can be what ever you want it to be when it grows up. A lot of stuff is interchangeable from 706 thru 1466.
