I went to Home Depot this AM and looked at getting a snow thrower, (I however will still use my 44H to push snow) But a snow thrower will shoot the snow 20 feet into the woods and I have a 900' long driveway w/trees down both sides. Here is my question, a ariens blower is $1000 and is 8HP and 24" wide auger. I have a gravel driveway and I am worried about the auger on a blower picking up the gravel and jamming it. anybody have experence with snowblowers, both on price and using on a gravel drive. thanx in advance.
