The suffix "S" indicates that it is a Super H. The serial number "1822" indicates that it is a 1953 model year. Super H serial number/build dates are as follows: 1953 - (501 - 22201), 1954 - (22202 - 29285). You can verify date manufactured by the casting code dates located on all cast parts. It will be a "day-month-year" format. Ex. (5-11-N) converts to fifth day of November in 1944. The year number begins with H which was year 1938 then follows the alphabet to Z-1954. The letter "V" was not used for some reason and "U" and "W" both were 1951 years. Hope this helps.
