My dad bought a new Farmall 300 in 1955. I had that tractor on farm until it was 32 years old. I wasn't using tractor much at time and one day a guy came along and offered me too much money for it. He still has the tractor, and it just got its 6th set of pistons and sleeves 2 years ago. Had to replace the crank this time. My tractor saw a lot of heavy work in its early days, at 12 years it got its 4th set of pistons and sleeves. It was running about 1000 hours a year in those days. It is still a nice tight tractor to operate, and probably has close to 20,000 hours on it.
