Matt: Sven may well be right, however if you want to check to see what you need, here is how. Park tractor so front wheels are 2.5 feet below the rear wheels. Remove the plate (4 bolts) at rear of tractor where PTO normally goes. With tractor at that angle you will not loose any rear end oil. If tractor has internal parts for PTO you should see a shaft in about 15" to 18" same spline as PTO. At this point and if shaft is there, you naturally want to know if it is live PTO or not. Get a friend to start the tractor and push in clutch. If that shaft stops, tractor is equiped for standard transmission PTO. If the shaft continues running with clutch in, you know tractor is equiped for Independant Power Take Off.
