in resposne to the cracked block if you want a good repair just to repair it you may be interested in this. at most auto pats stores they will carry a product that is a chemicl welding agent. it comes in a small cardboard tube and can be found at the front count. I recmend this for two reasons the firstis the amount of heat that the block goes though,and this prouduct can be used for repairs of the exauste manifold. and second in welding you will get heat distortion that may impair the movement of the internall parts (depends on location of welding) but Know if you are planing to or have restored this tractor then you will want it to look real nice, so if that is the case then take it to a shop that has a TIG welder and some one that is skilled in the TIG welding trade.
