Been there, done that. Go to a rural coffee shop early in the morning, wearing overalls and a smile on your face and look for the oldest farmer in the group and start by explaining your problem and not by asking questions. When they figure out that you are needing help and not trying to con them out of something, most folks will break their neck to try to help you. I've been collecting tractors from a defunct dealership that closed in 1960. I called Wisconsin and there are no records of distribution to dealerships. They were destroyed by corporate lawyers after the sellout. I've found three M's, two W6's, one WR9, one 350 Utility LP and a trade-in MM in my search. Good luck!
