Sounds like front seal on crank to me. The easy way to check for sure is park tractor facing down grade and let it idle. Watch around and under crank pully, it is not hard to see where it is coming from.

None of these guys suggested the cause for after you get it repaired. 90% of crank oil leaks either end any engine is caused from over full crank case. This in turn on SC could be caused by operator or that hydraulic pump seal leaking hydraulic oil into engine. Another problem often can be not being patient with use of oil level check taps on letter series Farmalls. Many people tend not to trust the taps or they don't open them far enough or dirt gets in discharge of tap. I had a neighbour used to borrow my SA, and every time he would bring it back he would grumpely say,"that tractor uses a lot of oil you should get it fixed". And every time he brought it back I would drain 3 quarts of oil off. One summer I was away a lot and he had the tractor a lot, by fall I had a front seal leak.
