Bear in mind that a gallon of ethanol has only 66% the energy of a gallon of gasoline. You won't develop as much power unless you burn more of it. Lots more. Many older cars couldn't burn even the 10% mix because the old rubber carb seals would rot. I don't know if this would be an issue with an older tractor. I don't know what the vapor pressure is - and this could be an issue at startup. Especially in the Minnesota cold. At least with a tractor, if you dump something in and it doesn't work, it's fairly easy to purge it out.
