AGR538:
First of all, safety first of all; Steven@nd is absolutely right about that!
Our own little local club -- brand new, county-wide, and (tractor-)color blind -- successfully hosted a first-time show a month or so ago,... about 40 tractors and most of them belonging to club members.
Smartest decision and biggest break? They piggy-backed their show onto an already existing community festival, so they took advantage of planning and publicity that was already in place, got into a really nice and well-organized parade, and then had a crowd that would have been coming into town for the festival anyway.
Look around and see if there's something you can attach to: a Chamber of Commerce promotion, a Spring House and Garden Show, maybe a county fair with a rodeo or a demo-derby, a country/western music jamboree; maybe the local high school has an FFA chapter with a spring dance or barn-warming event.
Good luck, and
Keep on wrenching red.
RedTed/MO.
