I have a 48 cub that makes a terrible noise only when clutch is depressed and in any gear. Bump it out of gear and noise stops. The noise does not come from clutch bearing or preasure plate but from transmision. However, when clutch is depressed in neutral clutch disk does not completely release and drive shaft turns. I have already replaced the in-put shaft and both bearings in tranny.Could a new clutch bearing and preasure plate allow the clutch to completely release and solve the problem? I feel the noise comes from the counter shaft and gears but the bearings and backlash seam OK. Need help.
