cub leaks

My cub is leaking transmision oil. it is coming out of the clutch inspection hole so it must be the seal on the input shaft of the trans.has anyone split the trans from the torque tube without removeing thethe torque tube from the engine?. this is a restored tractor for parades and I dont want to ruin the paint by removeing the hood and other parts. thanks. S....
