I feel your pain. The very first thing I do is change all the fluids, drop the pan and clean just like you said. It kills me to even run a tractor until I have the fluids changed. I gaurantee you the fluid in the rear looks like creamed coffe, and stinks to high heaven. Drain the rear, add a couple gallons of kerosene, drive it around and drain the kero. Repeat until the kerosene looks respectable coming out. Then fill with the Hy-Tran. You have hydraulics on that tractor? Guess what that fluid looks like as well? I would give the air cleaner a bath in kerosene as well. Glad to hear you are now in better shape. Jimmy
