THANK'S BAMA & SKYPILOT FOR YOUR REPLIES. I AM USING A 12v COIL, FOR USE WITH AN EXTERNAL RESISTOR. I CHANGED THE PLUGS, PLUG WIRES, POINTS, CONDENSER, CAP, ROTOR AND COIL WIRE ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. THE PROBLEM EXSISTED PRIOR TO THIS AND STILL DOES. I HAVE TESTED THE ALTERNATOR OUTPUT AND IT IS WITHIN 10% OF RATED OUTPUT. THE ONLY THING I HAVE NOT DONE IS REPLACE THE (+) WIRE FROM THE SWITCH TO THE COIL AND THE (-) WIRE FROM COIL TO DISTRIBUTOR. I HAVE TESTED THESE WIRES AND THEY BOTH HAVE GOOD CONTINUITY. CAN YOU GUYS THINK OF ANY THING ELSE? I AM ABOUT TO CONCEDE TO THE FACT THAT MY COILS ARE CONSUMABLES, LIKE GAS AND OIL AND JUST HAVE TO BE REPLENISHED ONCE A MONTH OR SO.
