What you saw was an Electrall. Manufactured jointly with General Electric 103 of the 12.5KW were sold in 1955 & 1956. Models were available to side mount on 400/450/MTA/W6 where it was run by belt drive gearing, PTO driven trailer mounted and also PTO driven Fast Hitch. Most were sold to dairy operators for an uninterrupted power supply. Balers and some other implaments were offered with electric motors. Red Power Magazine did a story on a fellow "Mr. Electrall" who has an excellent display tractors and implements with this unique option. Check Archieves under Electrall and see what is available.
