Missing H

Hello to everyone,

My name is Ben and I am a big fan of IH. So big, that I have a 44 H in my garage as well as a 130. I bought the H cheap at a sale a few years back and have been slowly working at it when I have free time. It was a rough runner when I bought it; so rough that it was only running on two cylinders.

I have been able to get it to run on all four now, and I had the head redone. So now my problem is that it starts up right away but there is a distinctive miss to it.

This is what I have done so far to address the problem. I have adjusted the timing-no difference in performance. I have checked the valve spacing, everything matches factory specifications. I have adjusted the carburator that I had rebuilt when the head was being done.

I played around with everything and there is still a distinctive miss to it, especially when it is under load. I took it for a ride, and when I got up to speed it was cutting out horribly. I look forward to your suggestions, as I just stood there for about 20 minutes yesterday staring at the engine trying to figure it out. That's when I decided to get some expert advice.
