Thanks for the input, Hugh, I know I have talked to you on this forum before, too. Anyway, you and joe have said don't use the duals, but could I use one on the left like Doc and Denny mentioned? I knew before I couldn't use a dual on the right because the plow barely makes it out to my tire. The main reason I bought the duals is because the tires on my SM are about 15% and my tire guy quoted me at 540 a pair for new ones. I now have prolonged the life of my dollar with a great deal and a lot of fun in the mean time. The second reason, almost as important as the first, is for safety and time when I am hauling silage and later this fall high moisture corn on the hillsides of Western Wisconsin. It has the power, but occasionally the speed you want isn't enough power so when you throttle up a little bit the tires begin spinning in the field. Of course, most of that is my crap tires, but I have had it happen with our 826 and 856 too. I have so many friends that I work with at the local threshing show and at "Dale's place" (a retired farmer who no longer farms his land so we do it for him for fun!!) and we always fanticized about putting duals on "the SM" (other tractors are Oliver 60, JD B, and AC WD-45) that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Now, September 21, I'm going to be skidding logs at the show with big duals and narrow front. Just the look. Thanks for reading all the way down to here!! Tim
