Help on a 400 gas

engine. This motor will not fire on #2. I have checked the compression, 120 on #'s 1,2,&3, 110 on # 4. Checked the valve lash, .019 cold engine, have spark at # 2 and the plug is getting wet. Observed the valves (at the springs with valve cover removed) while rolling the engine and both appear to open a close correctly indicating a good cam.
I moved the plug and the wire to different cylinders and the problem stays with #2.
Pulled the manifold, does have two cracks, one on either side bottom bolt hole but does not seem to leak anywhere unless the cracks are keeping it from sealing well (I have ordered an new manifold).
Spoke with the previous owner who stated that when he got the tractor the valves were stuck on # 2; he freed them with PB plaster.
Valve spring height on # 2 is the same as the others both free and compressed (do not have a machinest rule) Then engine ran well for about 3 weeks and then started missing.
Do not know where to look next. I do not want to pull the head until I know that will make a difference. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
