Old Raceway M PTO Shaft. Good News/Bad News

Punch below for pictures. I had no luck whatsoever trying to thread both the PTO shaft and keeping the notch in the shifter tube in place. So I removed the shifter tube and was able to thread the shaft into the hole using a large pipe on the end for a counterbalance and to help me align the shaft. Of course the bad news is that the PTO will not work.
