I borrowed a neighbors 180 allis to stack some bales ,He had a loader ,I didn't. His alternator wasn't working so I fixed it ,the primary wire from the alt runs under the fuel tank,you can see where this is going.It had a bare spot,it shorted out on the bottom of the fuel tank,no fire .I dont know how but it melted a hole in the bottom of the tank but it didn't catch fire .needless to say I don't fix things that I'm not asked to fix anymore ,it took a day and a half to get it all back together,but the alternator worked. Whats worse He knew the wire was bad and thats why the alternator hadn't been fixed
