The Delco 10SI was used on most domestically built GM cars and PU's from 1975 thru the late 80's. Be aware however some large GM cars equipped with A/C and power accessories were supplied with the 15SI. This is electrically similar, but has a higher output rating and is physically larger - hence more difficult to squeeze under a Farmall hood. Quick way distinguish a 10SI from a 15SI: Check the alternator output rating stamped into the alternator case. If it's 63 amps or less, it's a 10 SI. If 70 amps or higher it's a 15SI or other, later model. Incidentally the advice below to get the smallest diameter pulley you can find is right on!!
