Rough 986

I have posted several questions on here before about an 886, i had the money in hand but dealer had already sold it so i went back found a case but wasnt to my likeings so i took it back and he told me about a 986 that had just come in, so i went looked at it, looks rough, top right hand side of cab blackend from the flasher burning(i think). it needs new cab interior and A/C work(hoese, freon etc). The hi range needs adjusting or i hope thats it, T/A works great everything on it great, again its rough, it has a few scratchs and dents but for what the dealer wants i think we can afford to fix it. He wants 6500 for it as it sits(tires are worth that right?). You have to give it a shot of either to start it is that any big deal? With the new GB 570 QT loader it has the price jumps to 10,200 for it. My question is, is this to much for the tractor in this condition? Oh also the 540 RPM pto is bent and it does not shut off, i talked to them about it and they said it was just a broken pin, common on the 86 series. With your help I can get dad talked into owning an IH again....since they sold out he has since went to green but the red bug has bitten me...Sorry for skipping around so much...I would like to thank you for the help in advance.
