OK. First off, thanks to all for the suggestions. Turns out it was the inlet to the sediment bowl. There were chunks of rubber, from whence it came, I know not, but it was pretty full. A small drill bit and compressed air, and voila, the durn thing runs great again. It's been acting up since last October, when it first did it. I don't use it during winter, and been busy on the house, so didn't even fire it up til June, when I remembered the problem. Finally getting the old girl taken care of is a relief, especially when it turns out to be something simple. Again, thanks.
