Hello Fellas -

Older gent I known for yrs. has asked me and my boys to care for his property. His kids are grown and none have any interest in the place (for now). He's also asked me to plant a summer garden for him to keep his tractor in running condition and also just to see his rig working the fields.

His rig is a gasser, bench seat. Off-set steering with mounted cultivators front and rear. Front grill is vertical retangle with a slope running from top to bottom if looking from the side. No 3PTH but it does have implements that connect with I believe FAST HITCH (2 bars with semi-arrow head with a detent in each bar). Hyd?? It is a smallish rig, not much bigger than my AC D10, appears to be taller though.

It has 2 metal tags that read 140. It also has other tags that read International and others that read Farmall. Is this rig an INTERNATIONAL 140 or FARMALL 140? Is there another place on the net for researching this rig?

I don't know much about IH or Farmall, primarily an Oliver fan with a smattering of AC. I am going over there this weekend to clean her up and try to get it running. Will try to post pics this weekend.

Today's Featured Article - Box Plow Blues - by Tom Schwarz. One of the first implements most tractor owners obtain is the box plow. For very little money, this piece of equipment promises to plow and flatten any hill or vale on your ranch road or farm. At least that's what I thought! As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U ... [Read Article]
