You got me there. I always assumed that if you used stock parts, including standard overbore kits, you could still be considered as running stock. As for stroking, I'm sure that would be frowned upon. Does putting an M engine in an H mean it is no longer stock? Probably. What about putting a 350 engine in an H? Same block, just a slightly larger bore. I guess I would draw the line at modifying a tractor in a way that we wouldn't have dreamed of back when I was on the farm. When a farmer needed 20 more horsepower, he usually just went out and bought a more powerful tractor. I don't make the rules, so what I think doesn't count. Different clubs and organizations have different rules, I would imagine. I'd like to see replies from people here who know their clubs rules in this regard. Also, what about these "Denny's Specials" - ie: headers and such? Is there anyone here who can tell me where the line is usually drawn between stock and non-stock?
