I need to pull the entire rear tranny and final drive from my 1947 H. I pulled the 6 or 8 bolts and sheet steel retainers from the ring gear. It slide back and forth. I pulled the bolts that hold the brake bearing retainers to the side of the tranny casting. Question: How do I get the entire assembly out of there? Does that motor looking thing in the middle that spins the bull gears split in half? I want to take out a large sledge hammer and bust it all but my conscience will not let me. What am I doing wrong? Do the bearing retainers on the outside of the casting slide off? Thanks for any help you all can offer. I really appreciate it. Scott
