I have a restored 1950 Farmall Cub. New pistons, bore, crank the works. It runs ok, even the govonor works good. My problem is after it has been started and warms up it runs fine but when you cut it off it is hard to restart. It will catch or hit on the first engagement of the starter enough to throw the starter out then will continuiously crank without hitting again. If you relase the starter and try again it will hit again and throw the starter out- then will crank continiously without starting. Spark is ok and continious. After several attempts it will start and run. I have checked and cleaned the carb a couple of times and seems to be ok. Points checked - ok too. ANY IDEAS? After hitting on engagement of starter and releasing the continious cranking without hitting concerns me. Seems this would be hard on the starter. IDEAS PLEASE!! THANKS.
