I can't afford a 96.00 parts manual for my A at this moment but I will purchase one eventually (if I am looking at the right one on the order form!).

I am trying to locate pictures, or exploded views of the left rear drop axle housing for my 41 FAA and I am trying to locate an exploded view with parts numbers for the electric starter switch on top of the starter motor.

My left rear axle is dripping fluid on to the left rear rim and I can't figure out why. Plus it has a vertical (up and down) 'wobble' rocking/oscillating motion as I drive it. It is really noticeable at higher speeds and 3rd/4th gear.

New rims and tires. Tires appear to be seated ok on the rims. All bolts are tight. Can't figure out if it is a bad rim or something with the gears or axle that may be bent. And, not being familiar with Farmalls (Fords yeah, but Farmalls and this A is breaking new ground) the rear end certainly is noisy and I can feel gears meshing.

I don't know if this is normal for these machines??

And, I am wondering if the fluid drip has anything to do with this rocking motion as I zip along. All I know it's a nice consistent drip on to the rim and eventually to the ground.

And my starter switch has a slight short in it, or slight bzzz as I push the starter rod and the starter motor isn't spinning due to some short in there. I think I need to rebuild the switch cuz it is loose and cobbled together. A parts number, list and picture of that would help me a lot too.

Can someone help me out and post/scan the exploded views or send me some photos from the manual so I can download and print them to rip into this? I would like to get this repaired before I go much further with this tractor. Nice tractor by the way, just want to get it in good shape. THANK YOU. tom

Today's Featured Article - Box Plow Blues - by Tom Schwarz. One of the first implements most tractor owners obtain is the box plow. For very little money, this piece of equipment promises to plow and flatten any hill or vale on your ranch road or farm. At least that's what I thought! As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U ... [Read Article]
