I have a new old stock live hyd. pump.I think it is a {Thompson} according to the dealers parts books I looked at today.I have a 300 utility that has the same cast # on the housing of the live pump on it .Well I thought the H tractor I have was the same block so I tried to mount it on my H...well first thing I noticed was the drive gear from my old H was not fitting on my live pump .It was a couple of thousands to small.then when I tried to bolt the new pump on my old H,the two bottom holes on the flange was not exactly lined up,1/2 a hole off.Does anyone know why ?I thought a H and a 300 utility motor was same .Or is the timing chain cover on a 300 utility differnt bolt pattern? I can make it work with some drilling etc..but does anyone know more about the two?
