them old farmalls love to flood if everything isnt just right. too much choke, not enough, float not just right. there are so many reasons its a wonder I love working on these things. First make sure your timing is right. you can play with the carb all night long and it wont mean a thing if the timing is off. then check the idle speed and set it correctly. then with it at low idle adjust the mixture screw till it runs the best. I know that sounds easy but I have been doing it so long I don't know how to explain what I did anymore. Most of the C tractors are around 1/2 to 2 turns out but not all. remember Distributer and timing first then the carb. If you need any help or specs you can Email.
