Thanks to you & Red . . . Mea Culpa. Of course you are right. The problem is that one of my many failings in life to to try to do things the cheapest way possible. Also, the "construction" work is not a full time, permanent deal (Otherwise, I would buy a regular hoe & be done with it). I am leveling a small piece of property I own on the Interstate, installing some retaining walls, roads etc, converting it to commercial & then selling it & moving to the country. So . . . I wanted something to use over the long run that would do the property constrcution work now but that I could use later for the alchohol/feed conversion project I am planning after the move. Of course, what I SHOULD do is get one of the Kubota L48's (or the new JD 110 TLB) both are perfect for what I am doing. But the idea of writing a check for $40k makes me gag. Another step down is something like I looked at today, to wit: a Cub Cadet (with 84 hours on it), 36hp 7366SS with loader (& a Woods 9000 hoe), shuttle shift, etc. which is $20k (which is, at least, half the $40k of the pocket TLBs, and, of course not quite the piece of equipment either). So . . . I was thinking if I could upgrade the SC for around $10k . . . but, you guys are right. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet. Thanks. John
