That same thing happens for my 806D. While pulling an 18 ft disk I noticed that too. Shifting from TA to direct drive, it will almost stop and then all of a sudden it will engage again. Another thing that I noticed ( I dont know if its the same problem or not) is that when I have the engine at a slow idle speed and if Im just moving slowly and if im currently in direct drive (TA lever forward) and if I move the steering wheel hard left or right to the extremes, then for some reason it shifts into TA by itself, I have no idea why it does this. Sorry I cant help you Wes, Im just as curious as you are about this similar problem.
