As several of you may have noticed, I haven't replied to many e-mails. I haven't thanked the many people who replied to my posts a while back. My neighbor and very good friend, Dave (I won't say his last name out of respect) crushed his leg between the frame and bucket of his New Holland Skid-Steer while working on his chopper on Monday. It has been a week, and after 4 days in the hopital for surgury, antibiotics due to the manure in the gash in his leg, and pain killers, he is home. The doctors told him NO weight for 6 weeks, and you can just about imagine what is going through his head when he is the only one running the farm and supporting a wife and 3 kids. This week, the entire ridge pulled together and figured out who is going to what when, from cutting hay to silage to baling hay and milking. Please pray for Dave and his family as they go through these tough times, although thankful Dave is alive.
