removing hydralic pump for painting

I have a super c with the touch control and need to get at the inner "arms" (the part thats under the gas tank)so that I can clean it up and get it ready to paint. what is the best way to get this more into the open. everyone that has answered any of my other questions on here have always been a huge help so heres hoping for more aof the same.
