Just wanted to say thanks for the info on the generator. I have the generator back now. The new belt I have happens to be one of the notched v belts. I left it loose enough so that i can spin the pulley on the generator by hand. I figure that there is no way the belt is putting any tension on the shaft now. I may have a bad gauge. It does have a crack in the lens. The needle at idle is sort of "unstable". if you give it some more throttle, it settles on the mark between the O and C. The battery (which is new) is pretty much dead. It seems to be charging it I just haven't had the time to run it long enough to get a good charge on it. Just wanted to give ya'll (i am from South Carolina) an update and say thanks for the info.
